ACcess Learning Center
Located on the Washington Street Campus and East Campus, the ACcess Learning Centers have basic academic skill programs that support skill building in the areas of reading, math, grammar and writing. The learning environment allows students the flexibility of scheduling their skill development around their personal schedules. Using an individualized, computer-assisted approach to learning, each Learning Center provides students with the following opportunities:
Enroll as a Continuing Education Course
Students can build basic skills in math, reading, grammar and writing in a flexible learning environment. They can also prepare for the GED and THEA/Accuplacer. Students can enroll at any time at the Learning Center on the Washington Street Campus or East Campus. See Location and Hours.
Enroll for College Credit
Basic Academic Skills Course (BAS): Improve math, reading, grammar and writing skills in a flexible learning environment. Students may enroll in a one-hour, a two-hour, or a three-hour developmental course. See syllabus for BAS 0103, BAS 0203, or BAS 0303.
Basic Academic Skills Course (BAS) specifically for THEA/Accuplacer: Build deficient skills in math, reading, grammar and writing for the THEA/Accuplacer assessment in a flexible learning environment. See course syllabus for BASM 0101, BASM 0202, BASM 0302, BASR 0101, BASR 0202, BASR 0302, BASW 0101, BASW 0202, or BASW 0302.
These courses are offered at the Washington Street Campus and East Campus Learning Centers where students can enroll at anytime throughout the semester. See Locations and Hours of Operation below.
