Types of Assistance

  • Child Care- Students can receive supplemental help with a portion of their daycare expenses while attending classes or clinical experiences. This is done through a contract between the provider and ASP.
  • Transportation- Gasoline reimbursement is available to students commuting from outlying areas.
  • Textbooks – Students may borrow textbooks from the ASP lending library for the semester they are enrolled in classes at Amarillo College.
  • Tuition Scholarship- Numerous grants and scholarships can be awarded to students based on financial need and demonstrated motivation. Students must register for and complete a minimum of six semester hours of academic course work in fall or spring semesters and three hours in summer semester with at least a 2.0 G.P.A.

Funding assistance is subject to availability of funds and qualifications.
