The Criminal Justice Programs offer an Online Criminal Justice Associate in Science (AS) for students who wish to pursue a four-year degree or even a Master’s degree.

The degree is 66 hours and takes approximately two years to complete attending full time each semester (5-6 classes or 15-17 hours per semester). Associate in Science in Criminal Justice Degree Plan.  Plan to spend 3-5 hours a week on each class.  The online degree courses and content are the same as if you were in a classroom.

The Online Criminal Justice AS Degree focuses on law enforcement, corrections, and the court system. Students take a comprehensive look at the criminal justice system and study the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, the cause and explanation of criminal behavior, rules of evidence and basic investigative techniques.  

The degree will help you gain excellent communicative, critical-thinking, research, and organizational skills in addition to providing you with the foundation required to build a successful career in this field and enabling you to recognize the functions of the criminal justice profession within your communities.

The Online Criminal Justice AS Degree is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and South Area Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). 

The average starting wage is between $25,000 and $35,000.  Some career opportunities include:
