Our Mission



The mission of Community Link is to provide enrollment services and prepare students for college.

Community Link is an extension of Amarillo College that serves as an enrollment center in Northeast Amarillo. Our mission is to provide enrollment services and to prepare students for college. The program primarily serves adult nontraditional students who are economically and/or educationally disadvantaged. Often these prospective students are members of minority groups to whom the prospect of approaching a college campus is intimidating. Residency / citizenship status, lack of English language proficiency, absence of role models, and poverty are their predominant challenges. Through Community Link, prospective students have a place to inquire about higher education, without the "fear factor".
