Exemptions are a type of financial assistance allowing some Texas residents to attend a public college or university in Texas without paying tuition or, in some cases, tuition and fees. Click the link for documentation required to prove eligibility for the following exemptions:

• Children of Disabled or Deceased Public Servants
• Firefighters Taking Fire Science Courses
• Foster Care Exemption Program

• Valedictorian Exemption

Submit documentation to the Assistance Center on any campus to apply for the exemption.
