Academic Enrollment

The steps below are all you need to begin taking credit classes:

Step 1. Application

*Continuing students do not need to re-apply, just see an advisor for registration clearance.

Step 2. Financial Aid

Amarillo College requires students applying for grants or loans to submit "The Free Application for Federal Student Aid" form to the Department of Education. Our federal school code is 003540.

Step 3. Advise

Complete placement assessment (unless exempt).
If unsure of exemption, see your advisor.

Make an appointment with an academic advisor for registration clearance (greenlight) and assistance in planning your class schedule.

Step 4. Enroll

Contact your Academic Advisor or Divisional Advisor, or go to the Advising and Counseling Center located on the first floor of the Student Service Center on the Washington Street Campus.
