Summer Disbursement Schedule

June 30th is the deadline to award grant funds for the Summer 2014 semester.


**Students must register for all Summer 2014 classes and submit the Summer grant request form to have summer funds awarded**

Summer award amounts can be viewed through AC Connect.

 

Students enrolled in ALL Distance Ed classes:
To charge books against financial aid balances at the AC Bookstore, students should email the Financial Aid Office at financial@actx.edu and request an authorization code. Student i.d. numbers must be included with the request. Codes and instructions will be sent to the student via AmarilloCollege email addresses only. Authorization codes will not be released until financial aid has paid tuition and fees, and the student has a credit balance available. You still have the option to purchase your books in person.


Grant/scholarships

Students not on financial aid suspension awarded grants/scholarships by May 15th will have their enrollment protected. Students with a remaining balance of their grant/scholarship funds after the payment of tuition/fees may charge books at the Amarillo College Bookstore from May 20th to June 2nd. 

 Balances from grants/scholarships will be disbursed approximately June 5th.

 


Loan

Students not on financial aid suspension with a pending loan award will have their enrollment protected if loan funds are received by May 15th. Loan funds will be applied to students' accounts after records have been checked for eligibility. Students with a remaining balance of their loan funds after the payment of tuition/fees may charge books at the Amarillo College Bookstore from May 20th to June 2nd. 

Students need to monitor AC Connect to determine if their loan awards have been changed from pending to accepted. Funds will only be available after the loan award has been changed to accepted.

PER DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, ALL SUMMER LOANS MUST BE DISBURSED IN TWO PAYMENTS.

1st half of loan balances will be disbursed approximately June 5th.
2nd half of loan balances will be disbursed approximately July 9th.

Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the time loan funds are disbursed to be eligible to receive loan funds.  Failure to attend at least 6 credit hours during the summer semester will result in cancellation of a student's loan, and the student will be required to repay the entire summer loan to Amarillo College.

 

 


Balances

Balances from grants/scholarships will be disbursed approximately June 5th.
1st half of loan balances will be disbursed approximately June 5th.
2nd half of loan balances will be disbursed approximately July 9th.

Students have the option to have financial aid funds direct deposited. Click HERE for instructions to sign-up. Students wanting balance funds direct deposited must complete the application by May 23rd; otherwise, a check will be mailed. Be sure your mailing address is correct, and allow adequate mailing time from the Business Office. If you need to change your address, please complete and submit the Change in Student Information form with the Registrar's Office.
