Hereford, Texas, 45 miles southwest of Amarillo, is named for the cattle that were brought to the US in 1898. In fact, because of its many feed yards, Hereford is known as the cattle capital of the world.
Academic classes offered in Hereford are primarily core courses required for an associate degree or technical certificate. Academic classes include Basic Academic Skills, Grammar and Writing, Composition, Mathematics, College Algebra and Reading Techniques as well as History, Psychology and Business courses.
The campus is also home to two Continuing Education programs - the five week Commercial Driver License and Certified Nursing Assistant (Fall 2014) programs.
From June through August, several of the AC Kid’s College Camps and Classes find a home at the Hinkson Campus.
