Faculty Highlight - Joyrene Morton

This issue we are focusing on Joy Morton. Ms. Morton teaches Public Speaking, Business and Professional Speaking and Interpersonal Communication here at Hereford. Before joining us at AC she taught in the Friona High School for 42 years. In addition to speech she has taught all levels of English, Theater, P.E., and Journalism classes. She has also coached several winning debate teams. She is 1 of 7 children in her family and she is a twin. Her first job was driving a hay truck for her dad when she was 8 years old. Ms. Morton likes sports and can play a mean round of golf. When asked why she likes teaching she said teaching was a lot a fun and she enjoys associating with the students. She also loves being able to teach on an individual level.
