Basic Motorcycle RiderCourse

Motorcycle Training ClassClass is approved by the Department of Public Safety and is required of everyone below the age of 18 years to obtain a motorcycle license.

Ability to ride a two-wheeled bicycle is a prerequisite. In order to take the course, you must be at least 15 years of age and have an unrestricted provisional class "C" or higher driver’s license or learner’s permit. You must bring your driver’s license or learner’s permit with you to class.

Please note: Students under 18 years of age must bring parent or guardian with them to start of first class in order to have them sign a waiver. Students under 18 who do not bring parent or guardian to sign waiver will not be allowed to take the class and will forfeit their class tuition and fees.

A form will be given to students who successfully complete the course which will allow them to test for a motorcycle license.

All participants must wear protective gear - eye protection, sturdy leather footwear that covers the ankle, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants, or equivalent, and full-fingered gloves, preferably leather. You must bring protective gear to class. Students who do not bring protective gear will not be allowed to take the class and will forfeit their class tuition and fees. Motorcycle and helmet will be furnished.

Please note that class begins promptly as listed at the West Campus. You must be on time to participate in the class. No refunds will be given for this class unless student drops class in person at the Assistance Center at least one business day prior to start of class. Be aware that this class is physically demanding and requires motorcycle riding outside in inclement weather conditions. You must be in good health to take this class.
