Create an online account

To log into any of Amarillo College's online features, you must create an online account in WebAdvisor. Once you have created an account, the same USER ID and PASSWORD will be used for all the online features.

1. From the homepage, click WebAdvisor.
2. In the lower right hand corner, click Account Information.
3. Click What's my User ID?
4. Enter your last name.
5. Enter either your SSN (without the dashes) or your Amarillo College ID number.
6. Click Submit.
7. Make note of your USER ID.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Log In.
10. Enter your USER ID.
11. Enter your six-digit birthdate (mmddyy) as your PASSWORD.
12. You will be prompted to change your PASSWORD.  It must be 6 to 9 digits and contain letters and numbers.  You are strongly encouraged to provide a hint.
13. Make note of your PASSWORD.
14. You may now use your USER ID and PASSWORD online at Amarillo College. 

Check email

To check email, you will log into my.actx.edu. 

After you create an online account:

1. From the homepage, click myAC.
2. In the upper left had corner, click Log In.
3. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD.
4. In the Personal Tools Menu, Click Email.

Register and pay for classes

To register and pay for classes, you will log into WebAdvisor.

After you create an online account:

1. From the homepage, click WebAdvisor.
2. In the lower, right hand corner, click Log In.
3. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD.
4. Click Submit.
5. Click Students Menu.
6. To Register, click Register for Sections in the Registration Menu.
7. To Pay, click Make a Payment in the Financial Information Menu.

OR

1. From my.actx.edu, click Academics, then WebAdvisor.
2. To Register, click Register and Drop Sections in the Registration Menu.
3. To Pay, click Pay on My Account in the Financial Profile Menu.

Start an online class

To start an online class, you will log into AC Online.

After you create an online account:

1. From my.actx.edu, click Academics, then AC Online.
2. You must allow pop-ups.  A new window will open.
3. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD.
4. Click Log On.
5. From the Course Menu, click your course.
6. The Lessons Tab is a good place to start.

Get help with login problems

Login problems can occur when:

• Your student record is not active.  Only academic students enrolled within the past calendar year have active accounts.
• You forget your USER ID.  Go to WebAdvisor, click Account Information.
• You forget your PASSWORD. Go to WebAdvisor, click What's my password?
• You use a temporary PASSWORD instead of creating a PASSWORD.
• You attempt to log into an online feature before creating an online account.
• You enter an eight digit date (01/01/2001) instead of a six digit date (01/01/01).
• You enter an email address (jsmith@actx.edu) instead of a USER ID (jsmith).
• You have Caps Lock or Number Lock on.
• You use spaces, dashes, or hyphens.
