Mass Communication programs at Amarillo College are focused on preparing students for viable careers in an evolving media field. To that end, students enrolled in a two-year mass communication program are challenged to master basic media skills and to apply those skills within a converged media environment.
Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees in mass communication are designed to satisfy the first two years of a four-year program at a senior institution. Career and technical education degrees (A.A.S.) and certificates prepare mass communication students for entry level positions in radio and television stations, production houses and advertising agencies.
