Nursing
The Amarillo College Nursing Division offers three unique nursing career pathways to explore:
- Vocational Nursing (VN)
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Placement Option for Associate Degree Nursing (LVN to RN)
Nursing classes are conducted in mediated classrooms, are web-enhanced, or online. All nursing classes are supplemented by a state-of-the-art Nursing Resource Center, a Computer Testing Center and a West Library research center. Clinical experiences are conducted at local hospitals, Sim Central (a regional clinical simulation center), long term care facilities, health clinics and schools throughout the community.Our nursing faculty guides students in their learning experiences. The mission of our well-qualified nursing faculty is to promote your success in the journey towards a career as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse.
