Vocational Nursing Program
Both nursing programs at Amarillo College offer students an opportunity to take classes in contemporary, mediated classrooms in recently renovated or newly-constructed buildings. The Nursing Resource Center (NRC) is a state-of-the art facility, which provides an environment for students to learn nursing skills in hospital-like settings. A new clinical simulation laboratory within the NRC provides nursing students unique opportunities to practice patient-centered nursing care using simulated scenarios. Nursing students at AC obtain clinical experiences at various local hospitals, clinics, doctor’s offices, long-term care facilities, and schools throughout the community.
