Welcome to the Nursing Resource Center (NRC) in the Nursing Division at Amarillo College.  We invite you to utilize the services of a well-equipped, modern learning facility, library, and hospital setting, and want to assist you in having an optimal learning experience while in the nursing program.  Our experienced staff is available to assist with your learning needs.

The NRC is located in rooms 206, 208 and 210 in Building A of the West Campus of Amarillo College.  You may access the NRC via stairway or elevator.  Our telephone number is 806.354.6032.

The NRC is comprised of several areas in which you can:

• Practice patient-centered scenarios utilizing the NRC's patient beds, manikins, medication-simulation carts and other medical supplies.
• Nursing skill enhancement through clinical simulation, utilizing state-of-the-art, low-fidelity and high-fidelity manikins.
• Receive individual and small group tutoring with the NRC's registered nurse staff.
• View videocassette and CD programs.
• Check out textbooks.
• Receive assistance for research activities in nursing courses. Students and faculty may also utilize the services of the West Campus Library to perform evidence-based research.
• Study.
• Utilize copying services.

* The Amarillo College West Campus Library Services at the Northwest Branch of the Amarillo Public Library are open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on scheduled Sundays.  Call the Amarillo Public Library Northwest Branch at 806.359.2035 or Lillian Withrow, AC West Campus Librarian at 806.356.3627 for Sunday schedule.

Selected nursing videos have been main-streamed to allow viewing online.  To access the list of online videos:

1. Select this link to the library:  Amarillo College Lynn Library 
2. Then select 'Quick Links' from the menu.
3. Then select 'Nursing Video Collection.'
4. You will be directed to log onto the site using your WebAdvisor identification number and password.
5. After logging on, you will see a list of holdings entitled 'Online Database Menu.'  Scroll down this list until you see 'Nursing Video Collection' and select this link.
