GED Orientation
All candidates are REQUIRED to attend one orientation session. Registration will be completed and the GED test sessions scheduled at this time. Registration must be completed by Testing Center closing time of the last working day before the test date. The fee for the GED test is $75 and is payable at the time of registration. GED candidates MUST bring a valid Texas ID and their social security card to register. All required paperwork for 16/17 year-old candidates must also be presented at this session. Registration is based on a first-come first-served basis. We will accept the first 35 registrants.
Examinees MUST be on time or they will not be admitted.

Part 1 - Objective - 75 minutes
Part 2 - Essay - 45 minutes
Test 2: Reading - 65 minutes
Test 3: Mathematics
Part 1 - 45 minutes

Test 5: Social Studies - 70 minutes

Retesting Information
Failed tests may be taken after six months. If candidates wish to retest before six months, they must show written recommendation of a certified adult education teacher stating that the examinee has been involved in a study program and is ready to take the test. The fee for retesting is $15 per test. Examinees must either come in person to pay fee and schedule retest, or download form from GED page and mail in with $15 fee. We will contact you once we receive the form/payment to schedule your test.

Registration will be in the Student Services Building, room 101 (Testing Center). Examinees will need to report at the time ETS assigns you. If you miss your testing time, you will have to contact ETS and rechedule for another date. Please bring your admission ticket and valid ID. Examinees will not be admitted without meeting ETS' ID requirements.
