Ways to Get Involved

Would you like to be more involved in college life outside of your normal work duties? Volunteer? Help out? Be engaged? Network? Meet new faces?

Below is a list of opportunities that Amarillo College offers where you can contribute to the culture of caring and our mission outside of your everyday work:

  • Help out with Badger Beginnings (Student Life - 806.371.5322)
  • Join the Fun Team (Will Ratliff - 806.371.5141)
  • Join the Cook Team (Bob Austin - 806.371.5024)
  • Volunteer to be a greeter at the beginning of semesters (Joy Brenneman - 806.371.5124)
  • Help unload inventory trucks for the Advocacy and Resource Center (Judith Lara - 806. 371.5446)
  • Donate to the Advocacy and Resource Center (new or gently used clothes, non-perishable food pantry items, baby items, hygiene products, etc.)
  • Attend employee engagement events 
  • Join the Staff Council 
  • Join the Faculty Senate (Karen White - 806.371.5016)
  • Volunteer for “Crunch Time” (Pam Madden - 806.371.5087)
  • Volunteer at the bookstore during peak times (Andrew Flores - 806.371.2701)
