Here is the schedule of services AC is offering students for the remainder of the summer and into the Fall semester.

Students do not need to drive over to campus. We can assist them while they are in the comfort of their own home. We are experts at utilizing technology such as videoconferencing, email, and telephones to work with our students. Of course, if students choose to come on campus, we will welcome them. The wait time could be longer than they anticipate, as there might be students who arrived ahead of them.

The availability of the services listed below could change in response to public health guidelines if COVID-19 reemerges.  We have tremendous flexibility to quickly pivot if conditions change. Updates will be available on AC’s COVID-19 website.

When students come on campus, we ask them to join us in following these safety guidelines.

The services below are listed by building. Click on the headings in each section below to see specific availability of services by department.

Advising Services

August 3 - August 21

No appointment needed. Choose to be advised virtually or in person. Call advising if you want to meet virtually.  Come to campus if you want to be seen in person.

Counseling Center Services

August 3 – August 21

Virtual sessions offered via videoconferencing in Therapy Assistance Online (TAO). Please call the Counseling Center to schedule a teletherapy appointment with staff at the Counseling Center.

If you DO NOT have access to an electronic device or internet at home a Production Room is reserved in the Underground. You will have access to a computer with a webcam. For assistance locating the Production Room, please see the staff at the circle desk in the main entrance of the Ware building.

August 24-October 16

Testing Center Services

Testing Services is currently open for testing on a limited basis and by appointment only. All testing candidates will be required to wear a mask for the duration of their time in the Testing Center, with no exceptions. Each station is sanitized after every test. Remote testing options are still available for TSI exams.

Advocacy and Resource Center Services

Food Pantry Services

Students will be able to access the Food Pantry through our new online ordering system. In-person visits will not be available during the Fall 2020 semester. Students can visit this link to place their online order: http://tinyurl.com/ACfoodpantry

Students are able to place their order 24/7 through the link.

Students can pick up their prepared food bags on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm inside of Russell Hall, Room 129 (Door only accessible from outside of Russell Hall).

If you are unable to pick up your order during these times, please call the Advocacy & Resource Center at 371-5446 to make other arrangements.

Smart Start Services

Students may come in-person to the Smart Start center to pick up HESI Packets, use the laptops to be connected to instructors remotely for tutoring and TSI Review, and participate in the MAP session prior to the TSI.

All services available on-demand in the center only. Appointments for remote services and after 5:00pm appointments must be scheduled

The Smart Start Center now offers the following services via remote-access: 

  • Ramp Up (content preview) sessions to help students prepare before classes start are available by appointment and on-demand.
  • TSI Quick Review available by appointment
  • MAPs (Mandatory Pre-Assessment Sessions) pre-TSI info sessions available by appointment only.
    • Monday-Thursday • 10:00am / 12:00pm / 2:00pm / 5:30pm
  • HESI review by appointment and on demand Friday 8:30am-12:00pm  to review the math, reading comprehension, and vocabulary skills covered in the HESI assessment

Bookstore Services

Selling textbooks, computers, and other school supplies in-store and online. Offering a 10% discount and free shipping on textbooks when using the code “SUMMERATHOME” when shopping online. Join Us in Following These Safety Guidelines

  • Wear a cloth face covering while on an AC campus or site, with the exception of when alone in a private setting.
  • Practice social distancing, in public areas, common work areas, restrooms, and during rest/meal breaks.

  • Please do not come to campus if:
    • Experiencing fever above 100.4F or other COVID-19 symptoms.
    • Follow these CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 if you are sick.
    • Recently (in the last 14 days) in close contact (less than 6 feet for greater than 15 minutes) with someone who tested positive for COVID-19
    • Awaiting COVID-19 test results
    • Recently traveled outside the United States
  • Follow CDC guidelines for self-quarantine and self-isolation for any of the prior situations, including 14 days from date of last exposure, until cleared with a negative test result, or until free of symptoms as recommended by CDC and the student’s healthcare provider.
