An Amarillo College art exhibit featuring paintings in various media by Sharron Fitzner will open with an artist’s reception on June 15 at Russell Hall, and the public is invited to attend.

Fitzner’s art, which includes watercolor, mixed media, pastels, acrylics and charcoal, will be on display in the Russell Hall Art Gallery from Jun 15-29.

The reception will be from 4-7 p.m. on June 15 in the foyer at Russell Hall, which is fronted by 24th Avenue on the Washington Street Campus from June 15-29. 

Fitzner, who has studied art under AC art faculty Steven Cost and Stephanie Jung, is a native of New Mexico who became a resident of Amarillo in 2010.

Among her favorite artists are Mattisse, Degas, Monet, Picasso, MC. Escher, Andrew Wyeth, Peter Max and Georgia O’Keefe.
