A fresh slate of 8-week classes starts on Monday, Oct. 24th, right after Amarillo College observes Fall Break, a mid-semester, week-long student holiday.

There will be no classes the week of Oct. 17-21, and AC students will spend the vacation from school in a variety of ways, from enjoying the great outdoors at Caprock Canyons State Park to catching up on their sleep.

The College, however, will remain fully operational throughout Fall Break so that anyone interested in registering for the next round of 8-week classes, depending on seat availability, will have a chance to do just that.

Fall Break comes at the midpoint of the fall semester, marking the conclusion of the first 8-week session. Those immersed in traditional 16-week classes will simply pick up where they left off, but students who wrapped up 8-week classes prior to Fall Break will start a new set of classes on Oct. 24, and newcomers are welcome.

For questions about the availability of 8-week classes beginning Oct. 24, please call AskAC at (806) 371-5000.
