Accomplished faculty and gifted students will share the spotlight when the Amarillo College Music Department presents the Student Honors and Faculty Recital.

honors studentThe harmonious event will be from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 in the Concert Hall Theater on the Washington Street Campus.

 

The recital is free and open to the public. It will feature a variety of music styles, a mixture of student ensembles – the Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz and Suzuki Advanced Ensemble – and mainstays among the AC music faculty.

 

“This is a celebration of all we do in the Music Department,” said Camille Day Nies, who chairs the Music Department. “We are especially pleased for the opportunity to showcase the wonderful work our students are doing.”

 

In addition to AC student ensembles taking the stage, the following individual students were chosen to participate based on performance juries:

Anna Bahn, soprano
Thomas Bales, saxophone
Celeste Hutchins, viola
Jessica Ruiz, flute
Andreanna Simpson, piano
