AC wins Best of Show in national education advertising competition

Amarillo College is pleased to announce that its Communications and Marketing Department earned a dozen prestigious accolades – including one for Best of Show – in the 36th Annual Education Advertising Awards.

Education Marketing awards INThe largest and oldest educational advertising awards competition in the country, the Education Advertising Awards this year received more than 2,000 entries from over 1,000 colleges and universities from all 50 states and several foreign counties.


Amarillo College was one of only 14 schools recognized for Best of Show and achieved the preeminent distinction for its robust Digital Marketing Program. Joining AC as Best of Show were higher-education luminaries such as Auburn, Clemson, Utah State and Vanderbilt universities, to name a few.


“Each of these entries exhibited the highest standards, creativity and professionalism,” a Best of Show summary on the Education Advertising Awards website states. “They captured the attention and admiration of our panel of judges . . . (their) hard work has provided an exceptional contribution to the field of higher education marketing and advertising.”


Judging for the Educational Advertising Awards was performed by a national panel of marketing and advertising professionals, some in higher education. In addition to 14 Best of Show laurels, the judges bestowed Gold awards on 313 institutions, accorded Silver to 170 schools, and Bronze to 104 more.


AC captured eight Gold awards, and two each of Silver and Bronze.


“Our creative team never ceases to amaze me,” said Kevin Ball, vice president of communications and marketing at AC. “They consistently excel when it comes to pushing the envelope and exploring the boundaries of what is possible.”
