Amarillo College has knitting classes for beginners and beyond. The Knitting 101 is designed for beginners or those who need a refresher. The class will teach you about the tools, how to read and understand patters and charts and how to start knitting with some simple knitting projects.
For those who have prior knitting experience and those who want to venture past Cast-on, Cast-off, Knit stitch, Purl stitch, Yarn Overs, we offer the Knitting - Advanced Beginners. In this class, you will use patters and utilize easy repetitive stitch patterns, basic cables, and simple lace patterns, knitting in the round, basic color work and shaping and finishing techniques. Must have prior knitting experience.
