Amarillo College offers Basic Ballroom dance classes that teach basics of Foxtrot, Waltz, East Coast Swing, Rumba, Samba, Tango, and Cha-Cha. Try the Intermediate class when you are ready to step up your dance moves.
Social Dance is for those who want to learn to dance at social events with the 4 most popular ballroom dances; Rumba, Swing, Waltz, and Cha-Cha and a few country/line dances. The class objective is to learn enough to be able to relax and have fun at social activities that include dancing.
Partner is required and No Backless shoes with Closed toes for all classes.

Master the fundamental steps of the Texas Two-step, Waltz, Cotton-eye Joe, Jitterbug, and popular line dances. Perfect for those looking to kick up their heels and have a great time on the dance floor.
You can then take your Country Western Dance skills to the next level in the Intermediate class designed for couples. Explore advanced techniques in Texas Two-step, Waltz, Sweetheart Schottische, Triple Two-step, and East Coast Swing while you become confident and versatile dancers. Couples only.

Amarillo College offers a Heels dance class that teaches the basic technique of dancing in heels while embracing your inner femininity. The choreography will focus on grooves, lines, floor work and a few hair whips to become fierce and comfortable dancing in heels.
Bring a good pair of heels you feel comfortable moving and grooving in or even a pair of tennis shoes.
Dress however you feel the most confident. Please make sure you are walking into the building appropriately covered as there will be children around taking other classes during that time.
Knee pads are encouraged to support your knees while doing floor work.
