Important Information for ALL Motorcycle Courses:

When registering for any Motorcycle Rider Course, please provide a current telephone number and email address during the registration process in order to receive the online course link - email will be sent 30 days prior to first class meeting for the 5-hour online component to the course.

The online course is required to be completed no more than 30 days prior to your participation in the road class and certificate of completion brought to first class for ALL Motorcycle Rider Courses EXCEPT the Advanced Motorcycle Course.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time. Class tuition and fees will be forfeited unless ALL required conditions are met. Class may run past the scheduled end time each day due to inclement weather and/or student needs. This class is physically demanding and requires motorcycle riding outside in inclement weather conditions. You MUST be in good health to take these classes.

Motorcycle Rider Basic Class

Motorcycle Ridercourse Basic = $300

Requirements:

Approved by the Department of Public Safety and required for everyone, regardless of age, applying for a first time motorcycle endorsement. 

  1. Must be at least 15 years of age and have an unrestricted provisional class C or higher driver license or learner permit.
  2. Ability to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.
  3. Must bring driver license or learner permit along with certificate of completion for online course. 
  4. Students under 18 years of age must bring parent or guardian with them to start of first class in order to have them sign a waiver. 
  5. Participants must wear protective gear, eye protection, sturdy leather footwear that covers the ankle, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants, or equivalent, and full-fingered gloves, preferably leather. 
  6. Motorcycle and helmet will be furnished; however, you may use your own DOT approved helmet. 
  7. Proof of completion of 5-hour online component.

Motorcycle Rider Experienced Class

Experienced Ridercourse = $200

The Experienced RiderCourse consists of 5 hours of on-cycle instruction and a required eCourse (approximately 5 hours online).

Note: *Riders must provide their own street legal motorcycle or written permission to ride a borrowed motorcycle for this class. (Proof of valid Insurance and Registration will be checked)

Requirements:

Approved by the State of Texas and required for experienced riders applying for a first time motorcycle endorsement. 

  1. Must be at least 15 years of age and have an unrestricted provisional class C or higher driver license or learner permit. 
  2. Ability to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.
  3. Must bring driver license or learner permit along with certificate of completion for online e-course. 
  4. Participants must wear protective gear - eye protection, sturdy leather footwear that covers the ankle, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants, or equivalent, and full-fingered gloves, preferably leather.
  5. Proof of completion of 5-hour online component.

Motorcycle Rider Advanced Class

Adv. Motorcycle Ridercourse = $150

Designed for licensed riders with basic skills who want to gain confidence, knowledge, and a skillset to help deal with traps and hazards you'll see when riding. No passengers. 

Requirements:

  1. Required before enrolling: Class M Endorsement, 3,000 miles of experience on a motorcycle used for class and good tires. 
  2. Must bring valid proof of insurance and registration.
  3. Students under 18 years of age must bring a parent or guardian with them at the start of the class in order to sign a waiver. Students under 18 who do not bring a parent or guardian to sign a waiver will not be allowed to take the class and will forfeit their class tuition and fees. 
  4. Participants must wear protective gear - eye protection, sturdy leather footwear that covers the ankle, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants, or equivalent, and full-fingered gloves, preferably leather.

Three Wheel Motorcycle Class

3WHEEL Motorcycle - Basic = $300

Please note: a prerequisite 5 hours of online instruction must be completed PRIOR to your participation in the road class. Successful completion of this course, consisting of classroom activities and on-cycle riding exercises, plus knowledge and skill tests, may waive the license test in your state. The course may also earn you an insurance discount.

You must bring your own 3-wheel motorcycle. 

*3-wheeled classes give a restricted (only for 3-wheel bikes) M endorsement only.

Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 15 years of age and have an unrestricted provisional class C or higher driver license or learner permit. 
  2. Must bring driver license or learner permit along with certificate of completion for the online course.
  3. Students under 18 years of age must bring parent or guardian with them to start of first class in order to have them sign a waiver. 
  4. Participants must wear protective gear - eye protection, sturdy leather footwear that covers the ankle, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants, or equivalent, and full-fingered gloves, preferably leather. 
  5. A helmet will be furnished, or you may use your own DOT approved helmet. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time.
  6. Proof of completion of 5-hour online component.

 Learn to Ride for $199

If you are not signed up through the Can-Am Learn to Ride 3 Wheel you must provide your own 3 Wheel Motorcycle. The requirements for the motorcycles you bring to class are listed below:

A 3WMC must meet the following design requirements:
  1. Three-track wheel orientation (leaves three separate tracks during straight-line operation)
    • Dual wheels may be in the front or the rear
  2. Motorcycle-based conversion or design
    • Handlebar steering
    • Motorcycle-type controls arranged with the standard convention (convenience alterations such as a single brake pedal or lever control, automatic clutch, or automatic transmission are allowed)
    • Saddle seating
    • Seating causes the rider/passenger to straddle the vehicle
    • If designed for a passenger, the passenger must be seated behind the operator
  3. Turning diameter of the vehicle at its widest point must be less than 40'
  4. The vehicle must meet all applicable federal/state on-road vehicle standards

Under no circumstances will vehicles with the following designs be allowed in the 3WBRC:

  • Automotive hybrids or automotive conversions
  • Motorcycles with sidecars
  • Vehicles with automotive controls or seating
  • Vehicles with rear or front mounted engines (engines must be mounted mid-frame below the rider)
  • Vehicles with enclosed or semi-enclosed riding compartments
  • Any other radical departure from the standard motorcycle design, unless such departures are required to compensate for a physical handicap
