Professional Development through STARLINK

As you are probably aware, Amarillo College is an institutional member of STARLINK.

    WHAT is STARLINK?

STARLINK is a membership based higher education professional development organization with an association of nearly 54,000 educational professionals within the United States, Canada, and Europe.

    WHO uses STARLINK and WHY?

STARLINK may be used to supplement coursework for certification  and continuing education programs.  The online training resources provide a catalyst for ongoing, collaborative professional learning through programs targeting research-based content from nationally recognized presenters.

HOW can I begin using STARLINK?

The directions for creating and accessing individual STARLINK accounts are provided below.  Each training course contains modules based on the content selected.

HOW can I document STARLINK training and have it added to my AC Employee POD transcript?

    1. A certificate of completion can be printed once the entire training course is completed.  AC participants should complete the “Record of Staff Development” form located on the menu at the left of this page, secure the required signatures, and forward it along with a copy of the certificate to Keely Doyle-Muehling in CTL.  Training information will be added to the employee’s individual professional development transcripts by CTL.
    2. Participants may choose to complete the entire training course or to watch the video/s only.  Please note that the STARLINK certificate of completion is not available if you choose to watch the video version only.  The video training, although less than completion of the entire course, may be claimed for professional development hours by completing the AC Record of Staff Development, securing required signatures, and forwarding to Keely Doyle-Muehling in CTL for transcript documentation.
    3. The number of modules, along with the CEU equivalent for hours of professional development training will be identified as training is begun (Example:  This training course contains three modules and is worth .5 CEU equivalent to five hours of professional development training).
