Electronic System Technology: Electrify Your Future!

Learn how to perform a variety of routine tasks to assist with the maintenance and installation of electronic systems with a degree or certificate from Amarillo College.

The Electronic System Technology graduate can find entry-level employment installing, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining electronic systems in many business and industrial settings.  Many of our graduates go on to work at places like IBM, Compaq Computers, and LEK Technologies, Inc.

An Associate of Applied Science degree can be earned in two years or less with our expert faculty.  You’ll learn about AC and DC circuits, solid state devices and circuits, microprocessors, fiber optics and quality control.

Employment

Due to the rapid increase in the use of computers and electronic equipment, companies need technicians immediately in all areas of the country.  The job outlook for the future is very good.

Pay Scale

The average graduate starts out making between $21,000 and $32,000 annually.  Salaries increase with experience
