Once you have applied to Amarillo College, an acceptance letter will be sent to you. Once you receive it, contact an Amarillo College representative by calling (806) 371-5000 or online at actx.edu/contact. They will help you complete the requirements listed below.

Contact your high school counselor and/or the Registrar's Office at each college you have attended previously to request an official transcript be Amarillo College, Registrar's Office, P.O. Box 447, Amarillo, TX 79178

  PROOF OF BACTERIAL MENINGITIS VACCINATION 

New students under the age of 22 are required to show proof of bacterial meningitis vaccinations or complete an exemption form prior to registration. To access the forms, please visit: www.actx.edu/admission/meningitis

  FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS 

Scholarships, grants, and loans are available. Applications are free at: actx.edu/foundation and fafsa.ed.gov. More financial aid details: actx.edu/fin

  GET YOUR STUDENT ID

Visit the AskAC counter on any AC campus to get a photo ID

  PLACEMENT TESTING

You may be exempt from taking the TSI Assessment. Please speak with an academic advisor or go online at actx.edu/testing to check your exemption status. If you are not exempt, you will need to complete the following: 

1. Pre-Assessment Activity: new students are required to do a pre-assessment activity prior to placement testing. Go to actx.edu/tsi

2. Placement Test: For more information and to schedule a testing time, call (806) 371-5445 or visit actx.edu/testing.

Be sure to pay or make payment arrangements via payment plan or financial aid by the deadline.

 GET YOUR BOOKS

AC Bookstores are located on the Washington Street Campus (College Union Building), on the West Campus (Building D) and online at actx.edu/bookstore. If you have financial aid you can charge to your account. You will need a copy of your schedule to get your books.
