TPEG for Continuing Education

Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) CE funds are available for eligible students enrolling in Continuing Education Programs
who also meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolling in a continuing education program with 24 or more contact hours.
  • US Citizen, or eligible non-citizen.
  • Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Males, must be registered with Selective Service or exempt from registration.
  • Not currently in default on a federal student loan or owe a Title IV grant overpayment.
  • Not eligible for other state or federal benefits such as VA Educational benefits, Hazelwood benefits, state exemption and waivers.
  • Has not completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Not currently enrolled in academic classes within the same semester.
  • Not currently on Financial Aid Suspension.

Students who meet the above criteria should complete the following steps to apply for TPEG for continuing education courses:

  1. Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  2. Complete and submit any required documents to complete the FAFSA application.
    Students can access missing information on the Financial Aid Portal in AC Connect.
  3. Complete and submit the State Aid Eligibility Forms.
  4. Complete the below TPEG-CE application.

Eligibility will be determined once all of the above steps have been completed and eligibility requirements met.
TPEG-CE eligible students will qualify for state funding that will pay up to 80% of the tuition and fees for the CE program.
Students are required to pay the remaining 20% at the time of registration, and they are responsible for any books or other course materials.
