Travel Opportunities

Presidential Scholars participate in a weekend cultural excursion to a major metropolitan area each Fall and an overseas trip in the spring or summer.  The Scholars overseas travel costs are covered primarily through scholarships.  Travel destinations have included England, China, Cambodia and New York City.  The 2015 destination is India.

The Honors Program and AC Student Life also co-sponsor the Spring Break Global Travel Program.  Students with a 2.5 GPA can apply to participate in this educational Global Competency Program.   Selected students will receive a $500 scholarship to help with the cost of the travel.  Students will be responsible for the remainder of the cost.  Participants will receive a Global Travel Certification notation on the Student Life Transcript.  The 2015 destination will be Italy.  Send an email to honors@actx.edu to receive an application and more information about the AC Educational Global Certification Program.  In 2014, the students traveled to Munich, Prague and Berlin.
