Literature Online (ProQuest) Literature Online is the leading online resource for the study and teaching of literature in English. It is a fully integrated service that combines the texts of over 355,000 literary works with a vast library of key criticism and reference resources. Other Literature Databases:
20th Centry Poetry Provides access to both the American and English collections.  The American collection includes 50,000 poems drawn from 750 volumes by over 300 poets, including Adrienne Rich, Andrei Codrescu, Ezra Pound, William Carlos Williams, Denise Levertov, Wallace Stevens, Langston Hughes, Lucille Clifton, and Cathy Song. The English collection consists of more than 600 volumes of poetry by 283 poets from 1900 to the present day, including W.B. Yeats, Rudyard Kipling, Thomas Hardy, Wilfred Owen, Thom Gunn, Fleur Adcock, Paul Muldoon, Tony Harrison, Benjamin Zephaniah and Carol Ann Duffy, and incorporating the poets in The Faber Poetry Library.

Book Review Digest Plus (H. W. Columbia Granger's World of Poetry Locates poetry (written in English); has biographies, glossary, and literary criticism. (Requires login using your Harrington Library Consortium Library card number and PIN. If you do not know your PIN, check with the HLC library that issued your card. Essay and General Literature Index This unique reference database cites records contained in collections of essays and miscellaneous works published in the United States, Great Britain, and Canada.  Coverage spans the entire range of the humanities and social sciences.  Approximately 300 single and multi-authored volumes are indexed annually, plus more than 20 selected annuals and serial publications.  video cameraClick here for instructional videos
Gale Literary Index The Gale Literary Index is an excellent starting place for finding literary criticism essays in selected Gale Company resources, both print and online. Enter the title of the literary work, and the Index will tell you which Gale resources contain criticism on it. The AC Library has both Gale print and electronic resources (Literature Criticism Online database) that will contain some of the identified essays. Humanities Full Text (H. W. Wilson) This database provides full text, abstracts and bibliographic indexing of the most noted scholarly sources in the humanities, as well as specialized magazines. JSTOR Provides the complete archives of back issues of 19 literature journals. (Note: MyJSTOR, a personal area for saving citations and articles, is NOT fully functional from off-campus computers. All other functions will work fine from off campus as well as on campus.)

Play Index (H. W. Wilson) This unique resource covers classic and historical plays, along with the works of contemporary playwrights.
