Certification and/or Licensure Credentials

Certification and/or licensure credentialing of medical laboratory technicians is required for employment in most states and by some individual employers. Credentialing agencies for the Medical Laboratory Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:

• The American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) 
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
