FM90 will join over 700 stations worldwide celebrating the independent spirit of college radio on Friday, October 3rd. Please tune in to FM90 from 8am to 5pm for College Radio Day 2014. Our current Mass Media students will break the playlist and work with former students to share how college radio has helped them become better communicators in every walk of life. If you have memories to share about your experiences as a participant or listener of college radio or want to request a song from your favorite college radio artist, please email us at kacvfm90@actx.edu . We’ll also be collecting jelly or jam for the AC Food Pantry that day on the first floor of Parcells Hall, so come jam with FM90 and help us celebrate!
“New Findings about Treatment for High-Risk Problems in Military Populations” Lecture on Thursday, Oct. 9 Amarillo Civic Center
Due to an unexpectedly low number of registrants, the lecture sponsor—The Pavilion—invites anyone who is interested in this topic (Flyer Pennal Lecture 2014) to attend this event, lunch included, for FREE!
While the brochure points out that registration is required, that is no longer the case. Terri Briscoe of The Pavilion has extended this invitation: just show up, she says, and enjoy both the midday lecture and a free lunch.
The Duke has been ousted! An argument between Duke Senior and his brother, Duke Frederick, has caused a rift in the land. Duke Senior and a few loyal followers have fled into the forest of Arden while his younger brother has taken control of the court. This is the background for the love story of Orlando and Rosalind. William Shakespeare’s comedy is the fun story of sibling rivalry, fissures in dukedoms and families, mending the tears, and love. Lots of love.
