The Southern Light Gallery was founded in the Fall of 1977 by Robert Hirsch, at Amarillo College, to exhibit the work of innovative and upcoming photographers. Over the years, hundreds of photographers have exhibited their work. The gallery is located on the first floor of the Ware Student Commons on the Washington Street campus of Amarillo College.
