Call for Photographic Work
Southern Light Gallery is a photography-based gallery located on the campus of Amarillo College. We are interested in thematically consistent bodies of work, and a wide-range of styles and methods. This is a small works gallery and will accommodate no more than 10 images at 20x24 inches each.
The gallery has 2 walls that are 13.5 linear feet each. We have black metal frames for 18x24, 16x20, and 20x24 inch matted images, non-standard sizes would need to be framed with wire for hanging. The gallery pays for return shipping only.
Submission Guidelines
Send a link with the following information to rwest@actx.edu. The subject line should read: SLG Portfolio Submission.
Create a folder using an online drive such as Google Drive or Dropbox (do not use a time-sensitive link).
- CV
- Artist Statement (The statement should relate specifically to the work submitted)
- 10 Images (a body of work) on a server such as Google Drive or Dropbox (do not use a time sensitive link), the longest dimension should be 1500 pixels at 72 dpi.
The deadline for consideration for next year's schedule is March 30. Selected artists will be notified by the end of May.
