Sharen Wilson received an associate of science degree from AC in 1976 and achieved a law degree with honors from Texas Tech University in 1980. Ten years later she became State District Judge for Tarrant County. Sharen held distinguished positions in various legal organizations, including as a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow and as chair of the Judicial Advisory Committee of the Texas Punishment Standards Commission. She was recognized as the Tascosa High School Distinguished Alumna of the Year in 1993, and she was named Fort Worth Woman of the Year—Elected Official in 1995.
