Practice-a-thon Results!

Special thanks to our Practice-a-thon Coordinators, Jason and Gina Gant, for doing all the footwork and securing great prizes for our participants!  In case you missed the Play-in, here are our results:

 We had 33 students participate (21 last year)!

These students practiced 7,885 minutes -- WHOO HOO! :)

These students brought in $4,040.60 for our program (you are LIFEsavers to me!)

Each participating student received a Mr Gattis buffet coupon and a Sonic drink coupon.  Students raising over $50 (24 students) will receive a Suzuki tote bag this week.  In addition, take a look at these winning students' numbers:

Runners up in our 3-6 & 7-12 age groups each received $10 Roasters card and 5 Tascosa Drive-in Passes:
     Mia M - practiced 210 minutes and raised $100
     Mackenzie N - practiced 695 minutes and raised $265

Runner up in our 13-18 age group received a $50 Tarpley gift card:
     Courtney M - practiced 410 minutes and raised $300

In the 3-6 age group:
     most minutes practiced (212) - Kiera G (2 Wonderland passes)
     most money raised ($190) - William N (2 Regal Theatre movie passes)

in the 7-12 age group:
     most minutes practiced (750) - Jagi G (lightweight instrument case from Robertsons Violins)
     most money raised OVERALL ($650) - Katie C (Ipod Touch)

in the 13-18 age group:
     most minutes practiced OVERALL (990) - Devin G (Ipod Touch)
     most money raised ($555.35) - Emma S ($50 cash)

Also, a drawing for a REALLY COOL Prize will be held at the end of this week's last Wednesday group meeting (approx. 5:40 PM) - must be present to win!

Our practice-a-thon is a way for us to emphasize good practice habits while supporting the AC Suzuki Program’s operating and scholarship fund. Students will be recognized for their time practiced as well as the amount of money raised in the three age groups: 3-6, 7-12 and 13-18, AND each student who turns in a minimum of $50 will receive a cool AC Suzuki gift!

Start collecting pledges/donations NOW.  Practice time should be recorded from April 12-18.  The deadline to turn in money and completed forms is Wednesday, April 22 (turn in to Mrs. Nies or in the drop box at Room 308).

We know that each family will participate in the practice-a-thon to the best of its ability and will celebrate our efforts at the Play-in on April 25. Thank you very much for your participation!
