A female chorus, soprano, second soprano and alto (ssa) to represent the conservatory as an outreach project. Audition Prep (Ages12-18)$125

In order to compete in the professional world, a student needs both talent and work ethic to succeed. There are ways to prepare for an audition correctly, and our professionals want to teach the next generation of performing artists how to correctly prepare for a professional audition, which is a job interview for a performer. Play Writing (Ages 12-18)$125

Read It! Direct It! (Age 15+)$125

Repertory Intensive (A 10-16)$125

Admission into this course requires an audition with a 60 second monologue. Actors who are admitted into this class work with student playwrights to bring new characters and fresh plots to life. Student Directing (A 14-18)$125

At the high school level, some of our students are prepared to manage projects of their own. We allow a small group of advanced students to learn how to correctly select and annotate a script, communicate successfully with a group of young actors, and how to organize a schedule efficiently. Students are granted special access to the Conservatory's stock of costumes and set pieces to put on short plays to showcase what they learned during this course. The Young Pro (Ages 6-12)$125

This course is a staple at the Conservatory. All of our young students are expected to train and condition in a unique style that involves correct preparation, discipline, work ethic, and talent. This class is essential for young ones who hope to be successful teenagers in the industry. Write It! Act It! (Age 10-18)$125

A class that combines the art of the playwright with the art of performance. Young playwrights and young actors will collaborate in the writing and acting of original scripts. A topic for the play will be chosen and all will write dialogue, stage directions, properties and scenic requirements. Yellow Roses (Ages 12-18)$125

The Yellow Roses of Texas is Amarillo College Conservatory's only a capella choir. It is a small group of talented singers who have the ability to harmonize. In class, we work on ear training and composing new songs for our many scheduled performances around the city. Students are not required to read music for this class.
