All-State Choir (Grade 9-12)$118

Features both large- and small-school tracks. Students work on the Texas all-state literature and receive training in vocal practice techniques, diction, sight singing, and music theory. All students must complete form at www.actx.edu/music/choircamp in addition to registering for this class - the first 20 students to do so will receive a complimentary music packet (student will be notified by email and should confirm by email response). All other registrants should purchase their own large- or small-school packet from Tarpley Music in advance of camp. Lunch is provided Monday through Thursday, with an ice-cream social after Friday's 1:00pm final concert.

Beginning Guitar (Ages 8-17)$66

Hereford Campus. For students the ages of 8-17 with no previous guitar playing experience. Emphasis is leaning the basic techniques. Students will have to bring their guitars and headstock tuners to class. Class is limited to 12 students. For additional information, please call 806-379-2700.

Drama & Music Camp (G K-2)$115

This is a highly dynamic, wonderful introduction to the empowering nature of music and theater. Students will learn about the elements of creating a stage performance on, voice projection, singing, and character development. The students will perform at the conclusion of the week. Amarillo College Kid's Camps at St. Mary's have supervised mid-morning/afternoon snack breaks. Please send snacks with your child for snack time. Camp grade ranges are designed for students entering specified Grades this fall. A supervised lunch hour with fun activities from 12 to 1 PM will be provided for students who register for both morning and afternoon camps. Please send a packed lunch with your student. Every Child Can! Suzuki Intro.$115

Every Child Can! is a six-hour introduction to Dr. Suzuki's philosophy and its application to Suzuki education as created and implemented by the Suzuki Association of the Americas. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers ECC serves as the required first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. In addition to exploring the elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals, it includes an introduction to learning styles, history of the development of Suzuki education, the role of parents, the importance of Suzuki pedagogical training and an overview of of the SAA's role in supporting teachers and parents. There will be a one-hour lunch break from 12-1 PM. Registration must be completed by August 3.

Music Theory (Grades 7-12)$101

Successful completion of the course could apply to academic College Fundamentals of Music credit. Expand your knowledge of fundamental aural and written music theory content, including intervals, chords, scales, keys, basic harmony, simple & compound meter, melodic & rhythmic dictation, and more.
