Fulfills the annual renewal requirements for Certified Medication Aides. Review and update of medication aide training rules, medication administration, and related responsibilities. Absolutely NO registrations will be accepted on the day of class.

Medication Aide$526

Licensed Medication Aides administer medications to residents in nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, correctional institutions, and assisted living facilities. Students must be 18 years of age and be a CNA employed and currently working in a Long Term Care Facility for 90 days. Must bring a letter verifying employment history from current employer. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must arrange for and complete a 10-hour practicum at the facility of employment. State exam fee is additional; student must submit fee directly to the state. Students must petition for enrollment prior to registration - West Campus Building A Room 104. Medication Aide Clinical$75

A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. For additional information, please call (806) 354-6088.
