24 Hour DOT HAZMAT Regulation$125

24-hour DOT HAZMAT Regulations Course sponsored by PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration), PETE (National Partnership of Environmental Technology Education). In accordance with 49 CFR ยง 172.704 (HMR), business/industry employees and trainers will be able to do the following. . General awareness/familiarization training providing familiarity with the requirements of the HMR and enabling the hazmat employee to recognize and identify hazardous materials, consistent with the hazard communication requirements of the HMR . Function-specific training concerning the requirements of the HMR specifically applicable to the functions performed by the hazmat employee . Safety training including measures to protect the employee from the hazards associated with the hazardous materials to which he or she may be exposed in the workplace . Security awareness training providing an awareness of the security risks associated with the hazards . In depth security training relating to a company's security plan and its implementation, if applicable . Application of DOT regulations in order to effectively communicate the hazards associated with the materials being transported through marking, labeling, placarding, and documentation . Interpretation of carrier requirements for hazardous materials according to the Title 49 CFR by railcar, aircraft(IATA), vessel(IMDG), and motor vehicle . General awareness/familiarization of rail and air transport regulations . General awareness/familiarization of driver regulations related to hazmat . Familiarization of EPA regulation related to hazardous waste transportation . Reporting procedures to complete DOT's Incident Reporting Form . Train the Trainer- How to effective deliver the strategic elements of this training to fellow employees once you return to the workplace Class cost is not refundable after Feb 28, 2020 Workshop Participants taking the 24-hour DOT HAZMAT will be able to take a free 8 hour DOT online HAZMAT regulation before taking the class which is encouraged. Hazardous Waste Operations$580

For site workers, operators, handlers, personnel at treatment/storage/disposal facilities, emergency responders, subcontractors and others needing to comply with OSHA initial 40-hour training requirements. Knowledge and skills necessary to assist with operations surrounding a hazardous materials incident and utilize a combination of classroom presentation and hands on field exercises. Covers: Hazardous materials recognition, basics of toxicology, employee medical surveillance, chemical hazards, respiratory and personal protection, monitoring equipment and procedures, regulatory compliance, site worker zone determination, spill control and response and decontamination.
