Workforce Training Partnerships

Amarillo College invites you to partner in its mission to provide excellence in continuing education. Courses can be provided specifically for industry, labor, government, and professional groups to supplement existing training and leadership development programs. This format offers the most flexible arrangement for courses and seminars earning CEUs.

Open Enrollment

Open enrollment professional and occupational classes are offered each semester to assist those who want to learn new skills, upgrade their present skills, and improve their workplace performance. High demand classes include Bookkeeping-Accounting with QuickBooks, Payroll-Accounting with QuickBooks, Floral Design, SHRM Essentials of Human Resources, Train-the-Trainer, and Professionalism.  
 

 

Customized Classes

We pinpoint your specific training needs and propose training solutions for your business.  All of our courses can be customized and offered “in-house” or here at the Downtown Campus.  Our goal is to meet your specific training needs. 

 

The Texas Workforce Commission will pick up the tab when employers
partner with Amarillo College for skills training and development. 

If finding money for training in your budget is a problem, then it's not a problem.  Every business is eligible for employee training funds through the Texas Workforce Commission in partnership with Amarillo College.   Owens Corning, Davidson Oil, and Ben E. Keith have taken advantage of business training opportunities funded by the TWC.
