This program is designed to give you an overview of the American Legal System, Civil Litigation, Legal Research and Writing, and Professional Ethics while covering essential legal concepts, critical thinking and exam-taking strategies to give you the confidence you need to succeed on the NALA Certified Paralegal Exam. *

*Note: Taking this CE course does not qualify you to sit for the NALA exam. NALA has specific eligibility requirements that must be approved for the certification exam. This continuing education course is designed to equip paralegals, legal assistants and aspiring legal professionals to enhance their knowledge, writing skills and confidence to excel on the Certified Paralegal Exam. 

After completion of this study and test prep course, professionals seeking certification will have enhanced their knowledge, writing skills and confidence to take the NALA exam should they meet the requirements to sit for the exam.*

*Financial Aid Information

TPEG for Continuing Education

Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) CE funds are available for eligible students enrolling in Continuing Education Programs who also meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolling in a continuing education program with 24 or more contact hours.
  • US citizens, or eligible non-citizens.
  • Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Males must be registered with Selective Service or exempt from registration.
  • Not currently in default on a federal student loan or owe a Title IV grant overpayment.
  • Not eligible for other state or federal benefits such as VA Educational benefits, Hazelwood benefits, state exemption and waivers.
  • Has not completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Not currently enrolled in academic classes within the same semester.
  • Not currently on Financial Aid Suspension.

Students who meet the above criteria should go to the Financial Aid webpage and complete the steps to apply for TPEG for continuing education courses.
