AC Awarded $500,000 TRUE Grant to Expand Pathways Programs
Amarillo College has been awarded $500,000 through the Texas Reskilling and Upskilling through Education (TRUE) Grant Program to expand short-term workforce training in high-demand business and technology fields.
This competitive grant is part of a statewide investment by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to help public higher education institutions create, redesign, and expand industry-aligned training programs that can be completed in six months or less.

- The TRUE Program Courses are structured as a three-course series. All three classes must be taken in order when you enroll. You must be willing to commit your time and efforts before registering.
- When you register online, adding one class to your cart also adds all three courses.
- Exam Vouchers are included with the program and provided upon successful completion of all three courses.
- CIS Courses Only – Passing the certification exams is a required component of the course for successful completion and credit.
Accounting Assistant OSA Program — Cost $170
The Accounting Assistant OSA Exam Prep Program provides hands-on skill experience ranging from basic accounting to complex financial ratio calculations.
Graduates will be ready to support accounting teams in a variety of business settings and pursue further certification or advancement in the field.

Business Intelligence Analyst Assistant OSA — $227
The Business Intelligence Analyst Assistant OSA Prep Program gets students ready to earn industry-recognized Data Analytics certifications, validate their skills, increase their earning potential, and prepare for career advancement opportunities.

Data Center Technician Program — $227
The Data Center Technician Program prepares students for certification exams and for entry-level roles as Data Center Technicians in modern, high-tech facilities.
Students are introduced to essential concepts in data center operations, including computer hardware installation, server organization, electrical and mechanical systems, and facility safety protocols.
Students gain hands-on experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and the operation of critical infrastructure that supports digital services.
This program is offered in a hybrid format.
Human Resource Specialist — $180
The Human Resource Specialist OSA Exam Prep Program helps entry-level HR professionals with less than three years’ experience in HR or management to certify their skills, which can lead to higher pay and promotions.
The course is self-paced but requires six online class meetings with faculty.

Project Management — $227
The Project Management Prep Program builds practical project management skills and fully prepares students to pursue the CAPM Certification exam. It's beneficial to anyone seeking foundation project management knowledge or preparing for the CAPM pathway.
Earning the CAPM certification can help you qualify for various project management roles, such as project coordinator and junior project manager, just to name a couple.
