Theatre Steps Method

THEATRE STEPS are subject-specific, and each step prepares the student for the next learning level.  Curriculum included: theatre language; character analysis; character movement and voice development; script reading and analysis; scene studies; fundamentals of reading music; sightreading skills; ensemble and solo performance for the singer; introduction to Musical Theatre dance; tricks of the trade for dance auditions; audition-only classes for intensive work.

Amarillo College Conservatory Theatre (ACCT) is a theatre training program housed in historic Ordway Hall on the Washington Street campus of Amarillo College.  ACCT was founded in 2011 by Linda Dee Hughes, 2013 Amarillo Globe News Woman of the Year, and longtime theatre director and teacher.
