About

Prepare for a fulfilling career and state certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). The CNA certification can be a stepping stone to other jobs in healthcare. It's a great place to start. Students get hands-on as well as classroom training at Amarillo College's West Campus location.

Our program offers daytime and evening classes to fit busy schedules.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Meet with Student Coordinator
  2. Complio - Immunizations, Background Check, Drug Screen

The Complio website provides an all-in-one compliance tracking program on one platform. Complio is compatible with Chrome and Firefox browsers only. The average time to process is 5–10 days, but can take longer depending on demand.

  • Criminal Background Check = $48
  • Drug Screen = $32
  • Immunizations = $20

Required Include

Note: All shots must be completed and current to be able to register for these programs.

  1. Tetanus-Diphtheria (May look like TD, TDap, DTap, or DT on a shot record. Must have been given within the last 10 years.)
  2. Measles* (2 doses must be recorded on shot record)
  3. Mumps*
  4. Rubella*
  5. Hepatitis B (3-shot series must be completed)
  6. Chickenpox Titer OR Varicella vaccination
  7. TB Test (Dated within the last 12 months)
  8. Flu shot (seasonal)

*May appear as MMR on shot record and, if so, there must be 2 doses recorded.

  1. Register – Pay
    • Bring a government-issued photo ID and actual Social Security card at the time of registration.
