About

IV therapy is used to administer medications to treat infection or relieve pain. IV therapy training courses are geared towards practicing nurses or new nursing graduates who wish to become certified in the specialty.

Theory and techniques of venipuncture, intravenous infusions, and blood drawing will be covered. Information regarding fluids, electrolytes, blood products, hyper-alimentation, venous system physiology, lipids, and local and systemic complications in IV Therapy.

To enroll in the course, you must be one of the following:

  • RN
  • GN
  • LVN
  • GVN

3 Days (24 hrs)

Class is only offered in January and June.
