Throughout the year, Amarillo College offers a wide variety of continuing education seminars and conferences for healthcare professionals to help you get the professional CEU you need to keep your license current.
The Center for Continuing Healthcare Education offers entry-level courses such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medication Aide, and Phlebotomy to name a few. These courses are designed to help students gain the necessary skills for entry-level jobs in a short amount of time. Most of the entry level courses can be completed in 12 weeks or less. Other courses offered by the Center for Continuing Healthcare Education include BLS Provider and CPR/First Aid.
The Center for Continuing Healthcare Education is an approved provider of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Nurses practicing in the state of Texas are required to complete 20 hours of Continuing Nursing Education every two years.
The Center for Continuing Healthcare Education is approved to provide CNE, CEU for LPC/LMFT/LMSW and general CEU. Through college affiliates we offer the following credits:
The Center for Continuing Healthcare Education also offers credits provided by outside accrediting agencies such as TPTA (Texas Physical Therapy Association). These credits are obtained as appropriate to the specific conference.
