Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. Students enrolled in an educational program in preparation for obtaining certain occupational licenses are potentially ineligible for such license if the student has been convicted of an offense. By the end of this course, the student should have knowledge of in-depth desktop publishing terminology, text editing, and use of design principles emphasizing layout techniques, graphics, multiple page displays, and business applications.

Students are expected to follow the course schedule closely and have assignments prepared properly and ready to turn in by the due date. For most exercises and assessments, the due date will be on Sunday evening by 11:00 p.m. of the week they are assigned. Ten points will be deducted for each week an assignment/test is late.
Documents saved on “cloud” storage cannot be opened in Blackboard, so it will be very important that you save them on your hard drive or on your flash drive so you can submit them through Blackboard. If there is a "NP" beside the exercise/assessment number, you will not print that exercise/assessment. You will continue working on that exercise/assessment and will be saving the exercise/assessment and printing it in a later exercise/assessment.

Your instructor will check all chapter exercises. If you successfully complete the assigned exercise, you will receive a “100.” If there are too many errors on the exercise or the concepts are not completed correctly, the student will be asked to correct the exercise and resubmit it.
The Chapter Assessments and Unit Performance Assessments will be graded using the grading scale above.
Weekly lab assignments are due as stated on the course schedule. Most exercises and assessments will be due by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Tests are due as shown on the schedule. Ten points will be deducted for each week that the assignments are not turned in. Tests may not be taken late.
