Academic Success Center

The mission of the Academic Success Centers (ASC) is to provide AC students with academic support and learning strategies through services, resources, and collaborations with faculty that allow students to become engaged, independent, and successful learners.

COVID-19 Update

Though your learning environment might be changing, we are still committed to providing the resources you need to succeed—including access to tutoring.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, you still have access to free tutoring from AC's professional and peer tutors through the Academic Success Centers; however, tutoring services will now be primarily offered online as virtual tutoring sessions and available by appointment ony (except for Math, which will offer virtual walk-ins).

Schedule Online Tutoring

If you do not have access to technology that would enable you to engage with a tutor virtually via video conference, there will be a limited number of in-person tutoring options available as well. If you require an in-person appointment, please contact the Academic Success Center that applies to you by phone.

Tutor of the month – Walter Adams June 2020, supported Health Science students during pandemic

We love being on this journey with you - every step of the way.

In his own words:

Ma'am, this has been the strangest, and yet the best semester as a tutor. From a student's perspective this was a time when they needed us the most and we delivered. I'm very happy to be on this West campus team of tutors. Each student represents a whole family, this job is directly impacting the community. We should all be proud of what we have accomplished during this crisis.
